On September 13, 2023, the Vietnam-Japan Trade and Investment Promotion Forum 2023 was held in Tokyo. This event was organized by the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (METI), the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan, and the ASEAN-Japan Center.

In the program, from Vietnam, there is participated in of Mr. Hoàng Quang Phong - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Mr. Trần Quốc Văn - Chairman of Hung Yen People Commitee; Mr. Nguyễn Văn Út - Chairman of Long An People Commitee; Mr. Lâm Hoàng Nghiệp - Deputy Permanent Chairman of Soc Trang People Commitee; Mr. Phạm Quang Hiếu - Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to Japan. In the side of VCCI, there is Ms. Atsuko Kakihara - Vice Chairman of JMBCC-JCCI; Mr. Yoshikawa Tetsushi - Deputy Director-General in charge of Trade Policy at the Trade Policy Bureau of METI; Mr. Katsunori Nakazawa - Executive Vice President, JETRO; Mr. Hiromitsu Sho - Deputy Director, Asia-Pacific Division, Research and Analysis Group; and Mr. Yasushi Ishida - Director of Support, Research and Policy, Advocacy Team, ASEAN-Japan Centre. Moreover, representavie of Saigontel Group is Ms. Nguyễn Cẩm Phương - General manager of Saigon Telecommunication & Technologies Corporation.

The theme of this forum aimed at promoting investment in various sectors, including infrastructure, high-tech agriculture, and supporting industries. During the forum, speakers highlighted the trends and investment needs of Japanese businesses in Vietnam in the near future. They also provided an overview of Vietnam's economy as well as specific information about the provinces of Hung Yen, Long An, and Soc Trang.

Also within the framework of the forum, the leaders of the provinces of Long An, Soc Trang, and Hung Yen, along with Saigontel, held separate meetings with JCCI, METI, and JETRO to discuss support policies and investment opportunities for businesses from both countries.

In the witness of VCCI, the leaders of Long An, Hung Yen, and Soc Trang provinces, Saigontel, and their partners Valley Campus Japan and Valleycampus Saigon Company Limited from Japan signed an MOU on cooperation in varios areas: (1) Training and Human Resource Development: This involves training and hands-on practical experience for learners and other stakeholders in the agriculture sector, providing highly skilled human resources that meet Japan's strict requirements in agriculture and information technology; (2) Platforms and Solutions: Implementing IoT (Internet of Things) applications in high-tech agriculture, applying Blockchain technology for source tracking, and monitoring carbon emissions; (3) Research and Deployment: Transferring technology and equipment solutions for projects in high-tech agriculture, environmental technologies, and the application of Industry 4.0 technologies in Vietnam.
