In the afternoon of July, 15th, 2021, the General Secretary - Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong and the President - Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc had a phone conversation with leaders of countries with strategic cooperation of Vietnam, including South Korea President - Mr. Moon Jea In.

During the discussion with the General Secretary - Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong and the President- Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Korea President - Mr. Moon Jea In stated that Vietnam is a central country in the policy “new southern enlargement” of Korea, simultaneously expressed his desire to promote friendly cooperation between the two countries.
The General Secretary - Mr. Nguyen Phu Trong also emphasized to create favorable conditions for Korean businesses to expand investment in Vietnam. The leaders of the two countries agreed to continuously promote cooperation in many fields, especially in the supply of COVID-19 vaccines. 

The President - Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc welcomes the Ambassador and Korean enterprises

In the afternoon, on the side of Vietnam, the President - Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc had welcomed and worked with Mr. Park Noh Wan - Ambassador extraodinary and plenipotentiary, Korea Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam and Korea Corporations such as: Samsung, Lotte, Hanwha, SK, Daewoo, LG, IBK, Posco, etc. In which, SAIGONTEL is only Vietnamese enterprise invited by the Korean Embassy to join the dialog with the President as a strategic partner.

At the meeting, the President Nguyen Xuan Phuc praised Korean enterprises for their good compliance of epidemic prevention and control in production, contributing a large amount of USD for vaccine fund of Vietnam. The President emphasized that Korea is a powerful country of pharmaceutical segment, many kinds of vaccine have been accepted by the world. Therefore, the President wants Korean businesses to study and transfer vaccine production technology. Simultaneously, the Government also undertake to create the best condition for Korean enterprises doing business in Vietnam.

Speaking at the meeting, Korean Ambassador Park Noh Wan said that Korea undertake to promote the research center, technology transfer and vaccine production to Vietnam through cooperating between Samsung, SK and Vietnamese partners. Simultaneously, the Ambassador stated that Korean businesses will continue to mutually help Vietnam to complete successfully “co-duty” and undertake to invest USD 25 billion in 2021-2022.
