On the afternoon of December 3^rd, Da Nang People's Committee cooperates with Saigon Telecommunication & Technologies Corporation (SAIGONTEL) to organize an online investment promotion conference to invest in Da Nang 2020” for investors and enterprises from Korea.

The meeting was chaired by Vice Chairman of Da Nang People's Committee - Mr. Ho Ky Minh with the attendance of Ms. Huynh Lien Phuong - Director of Da Nang Investment Promotion Agency  (IPA), Mr. Pham Truong Son - Head of the Da Nang Hi-Tech Park Management Board and industrial parks, Mr. Lee Sungnyung - Director of Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA Da Nang), Mr. Le Son Phong - Deputy Director of Department of Information and Communications, Mr. Lee Hyung Seok - General Director of ICT Vina and Ms. Nguyen Cam Phuong - General Director of SAIGONTEL with the attendance of Korean enterprises in Da Nang and more than 100 potential Korean investors and enterprises through the online system.

This conference aims to promote and introduce the investment, business environment, cooperation and investment opportunities in Da Nang city in the context that investment capital from Korea is tending to transfer to Southeast Asia due to the COVID-19 epidemic’s impact, at the same time it is also an opportunity for city leaders to answer investors’ questions on policies and incentives; listen to suggestions to improve the business investment environment and attract more Korean investors.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Ho Ky Minh, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee said that foreign investment is one of the important resources for the city's socio-economic development. Korea is one of the key markets that the city is calling for investment, especially in the field of high technology, information technology; high quality service. These are the key economic sectors that the city is developing.

At the Conference, Ms. Nguyen Cam Phuong - General Director of SAIGONTEL shared about the difficulties and advantages in SAIGONTEL’s projects investment process in Da Nang. According to Ms. Nguyen Cam Phuong: Da Nang has the advantage of geographical location along with investment incentive policies and transparent administrative procedures of the city, good support for Enterprises. However, in the process of implementing investment procedures, SAIGONTEL also encountered many difficulties in the process of screening and granting investment license despite enterprises had many experiences in Da Nang.
