The Supply Chain Connection Conference for Import-Export Goods in Long An Province is a key event aimed at promoting cooperation among businesses, government agencies, and international partners in optimizing logistics supply chains and driving local economic development. With its strategic location along the main arterial route between Ho Chi Minh City and the southwestern provinces of the Mekong Delta, Long An has become an ideal destination for both domestic and foreign investors.

Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Ms. Phan Thị Thắng, emphasized that despite the challenges facing Vietnam’s import and export activities, positive results have been achieved, reflecting the promising outlook for production and the investment-business environment in Vietnam. She also acknowledged Long An Province's strong focus on investing in key transportation infrastructure projects, particularly those connecting industrial parks, industrial clusters, logistics centers, and Long An International Port. These projects have created a seamless, vital transportation network linking regions and provinces, enhancing the efficiency of goods transportation while reducing transport and logistics costs for businesses during production and export processes.

Ms. Phan Thị Thắng also commended the province’s trade promotion efforts, from product marketing to various forms of online and offline consumer connections, which have significantly improved trade promotion effectiveness.

Mr. Nguyễn Minh Lâm, Vice Chairman of the Long An Provincial People's Committee, shared that following the success of the Long An 2023 Trade Connection and Export Promotion Conference, the province has received significant interest from numerous international business delegations seeking cooperation opportunities. This serves as a testament to the province's continuous efforts in fostering international economic collaboration.

At the conference, delegates discussed solutions to enhance the efficiency of goods supply chain operations, while also creating opportunities for import-export businesses to access international markets more conveniently. Topics related to information technology, logistics, and smart supply chain management were also actively debated.

As part of the conference, one of the highlights was the signing ceremony of the MOU between SAIGONTEL and P&G Tech for investment cooperation in the Data Center at Nam Tan Tap Green Industrial Park, Long An. This data center will play a crucial role in driving digital transformation, particularly by providing high-tech services to businesses in the region and international partners.
