On November 14, 2024, at the Supply Chain Connection Conference for Import-Export Goods in Long An Province, SAIGONTEL officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with P&G Tech (Korea) to invest in the construction of a Data Center at Nam Tan Tap Green Industrial Park, Long An. This is a significant event, marking a strategic milestone in the partnership between the two parties while opening up numerous opportunities for the development of information technology infrastructure in the Mekong Delta region.
The conference
The Supply Chain Connection Conference for Import-Export Goods in Long An Province is a key event aimed at promoting cooperation among businesses, government agencies, and international partners in optimizing logistics supply chains and driving local economic development. With its strategic location along the main arterial route between Ho Chi Minh City and the southwestern provinces of the Mekong Delta, Long An has become an ideal destination for both domestic and foreign investors.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Ms. Phan Thị Thắng, emphasized that despite the challenges facing Vietnam’s import and export activities, positive results have been achieved, reflecting the promising outlook for production and the investment-business environment in Vietnam. She also acknowledged Long An Province's strong focus on investing in key transportation infrastructure projects, particularly those connecting industrial parks, industrial clusters, logistics centers, and Long An International Port. These projects have created a seamless, vital transportation network linking regions and provinces, enhancing the efficiency of goods transportation while reducing transport and logistics costs for businesses during production and export processes.
Ms. Phan Thị Thắng also commended the province’s trade promotion efforts, from product marketing to various forms of online and offline consumer connections, which have significantly improved trade promotion effectiveness.
Mr. Nguyễn Minh Lâm, Vice Chairman of the Long An Provincial People's Committee, shared that following the success of the Long An 2023 Trade Connection and Export Promotion Conference, the province has received significant interest from numerous international business delegations seeking cooperation opportunities. This serves as a testament to the province's continuous efforts in fostering international economic collaboration.
At the conference, delegates discussed solutions to enhance the efficiency of goods supply chain operations, while also creating opportunities for import-export businesses to access international markets more conveniently. Topics related to information technology, logistics, and smart supply chain management were also actively debated.
As part of the conference, one of the highlights was the signing ceremony of the MOU between SAIGONTEL and P&G Tech for investment cooperation in the Data Center at Nam Tan Tap Green Industrial Park, Long An. This data center will play a crucial role in driving digital transformation, particularly by providing high-tech services to businesses in the region and international partners.

A delegation from the Keelung City Government, Taiwan, along with more than 50 leaders and business representatives, held a working session with SAIGONTEL and FCC PARTNERS at the Tech Valley buillding, SAIGONTEL’s headquarters located in Quang Trung Software City, District 12, Ho Chi Minh City.
Representing the host side was Ms. Nguyễn Cẩm Phương, CEO of SAIGONTEL, along with representatives from Nam Tân Tập Industrial Park, Tân Phú Trung Industrial Park, and SOIHUB Open Innovation Center. From the Ministry of Science and Technology, Mr. Phạm Hồng Quất, Director General of the Market Development Department, was present. On behalf of the Keelung City Government were its leaders, and prominent businesses from Keelung City and representatives from FCC Partners.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Lin Ting Chao, Director of the Keelung Industrial Development Department, expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm and professional reception from SAIGONTEL and its partners. He noted that Keelung City and Ho Chi Minh City share many similarities, including their strategic locations as important port cities, both facing rapid urbanization. A highlight of the meeting was a presentation by Ms. Lê Bích Phương, Business Director of Saigontel Long An, who shared insights about the Nam Tân Tập and Tân Tập green industrial parks, which serve as exemplary models of sustainable development. These industrial parks are equipped with modern infrastructure, advanced wastewater and waste treatment systems, and actively encourage businesses to use renewable energy. Additionally, Ms. Bùi Thanh Hằng, Project Director of SOIHUB, delivered a presentation introducing the SOIHUB Open Innovation Center, a model that has garnered significant interest from Keelung City.

On October 15, 2024, Saigontel and Global Advisory (Australia) held a meeting to discuss and exchange expertise on green growth, sustainable development, and human resource improvement for Nam Dinh Province.

At the working session, Mr. Mai Van Quyet, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Director of the Department of Planning and Investment, represented Nam Dinh Province, along with officials from the Department of Science and Technology, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Industry and Trade, and Giao Thuy District People’s Committee. On behalf of Saigontel’s working group, Mr. Harry Hughes, Executive Vice President of Global Advisory, along with representatives from the Investment Promotion Department and Soihub Innovation Center, were present.
In his remarks, Nam Dinh Province expressed its sincere appreciation to SAIGONTEL and the team of experts for their visit. The province is currently focused on green and sustainable development and is in need of resources to fund and build a Green Growth Plan for the entire province, particularly emphasizing agriculture, industry, and human resource training sectors.

Mr. Harry Hughes, Executive Vice President of the Strategy and Green Growth Department at Global Advisory, highlighted Nam Dinh’s strong foundation in agricultural heritage and coastal resilience, positioning the province to lead Vietnam in green growth. He noted that Nam Dinh is advancing in the direction of sustainable agriculture, a green economy, cultural tourism, and industry, supported by existing and planned infrastructure investments. Mr. Hughes also shared his experiences in developing and implementing sustainable development policies and green growth strategies, offering advice on building a green growth workforce for the province.

The parties engaged in in-depth discussions regarding the development directions for green growth in Nam Dinh Province. At the conclusion of the meeting, Nam Dinh expressed its appreciation for the valuable experiences shared in developing and implementing green growth policies. The province announced plans to establish a Green Growth Task Force, which will collaborate with Saigontel and Global Advisory to implement green growth initiatives in line with the national green growth strategy.

On October 9, 2024, Saigontel and Global Advisory (an Australian company) held a meeting with the Bắc Ninh Provincial People’s Committee to share expertise and experience on sustainable development, green growth, and workforce improvement.

During the meeting, Mr. Lê Xuân Lợi, Vice President of the Bắc Ninh Provincial People’s Committee, expressed his deep appreciation for Saigontel's contributions and ongoing efforts in supporting the province's development. Mr. Lợi emphasized that green growth is a sector receiving special attention from Bắc Ninh, and since 2015, the province has approved an Action Plan towards Green Growth. In line with this, the Environmental Processing Plan for the 2019-2025 period achieved significant breakthroughs, leading to the first public release of the provincial Green Rating in 2023, with Bắc Ninh ranking third nationwide.
In his remarks, the Vice President of the Bắc Ninh Provincial People’s Committee highlighted several key points contributing to economic development orientation and greenhouse gas emission reduction. These included the development of green industrial parks with diverse capabilities aimed at an ecosystem model, the implementation of green transportation solutions, the promotion of green purchasing and sustainable consumer behavior, workforce training for environmental improvements, and education for technical workers in the green economy sector.

Mr. Harry Hughes, Vice Executive Director of the Green Strategy and Development Department at Global Advisory, shared his experience in developing and implementing green growth and sustainable development strategies, while also advising the province on green workforce development. Through its research, Global Advisory recognizes that although Bắc Ninh is a leading industrial province, it faces significant challenges in green growth during the transformation process. With the ambition to strengthen the province's leadership in sustainable solutions and climate challenge management, the company will conduct research and implement programs focused on green workforce training.

To conclude the meeting, the leadership of Bắc Ninh Province expressed deep appreciation for the valuable insights shared on developing and implementing green growth policies and green industrial park projects within the province. All participants reached a unanimous agreement to hold further meetings to engage in deeper discussions on transforming Bắc Ninh into a green hub for manufacturing, services, consumption, and lifestyle, thereby leading the green transformation.

The 5th Ho Chi Minh City Economic Forum (HEF) 2024 took place from September 24 to 27, 2024, under the theme “Industrial Transformation, a New Driver for Sustainable Development of Ho Chi Minh City.” Saigontel participated in the Forum as a founding member of the Fourth Industrial Revolution Center (C4IR) and was also a key sponsor of the event.

One of the major events during the Forum was the inauguration and launch of the Fourth Industrial Revolution Center (C4IR) in Ho Chi Minh City. The Center is headquartered in the Ho Chi Minh City Hi-Tech Park and officially commenced operations on September 24, 2024. Saigontel is one of the founding members of C4IR.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the Prime Minister emphasized that the establishment of the Center was an initiative of the World Economic Forum (WEF) and aligned with Vietnam’s development trends. He praised Ho Chi Minh City for quickly taking on the responsibility and implementing the public-private partnership initiative, especially in time for the Economic Forum. The Center is significant in fulfilling the nation’s policy of industrialization and modernization, meeting the demands of scientific and technological development, and innovation. It will also assist Vietnam in integrating deeply into the global science and technology community and promoting the Fourth Industrial Revolution, reinforcing Ho Chi Minh City’s leading role in economics, politics, society, and national defense.
As a founding member of C4IR, Saigontel, along with its partners, will contribute to integrating the Center into the global network of the World Economic Forum (WEF). This will enhance cooperation with other C4IR Centers worldwide to support policy proposals, research breakthrough areas for Ho Chi Minh City, in line with national and international trends, and mobilize resources and capital to help the government and businesses apply new technologies in line with the 4.0 industrial revolution in Ho Chi Minh City.
