Former President of Korea, Mr. Lee Myung-bak visited Long An province on December 3rd, It is a trip to strengthen connections and promote the friendship between Vietnam and Korea. The visit aimed to enhance cooperation, Promotion investment, and facilitate trade connections between Long An and key regions and large businesses in Korea. Mr. Lee and the accompanying Korean businesses visited the Tan Tap and Nam Tan Tap industrial parks which invested by Saigon Telecommunication & Technologies Corporation (Saigontel). In the presence of former leaders of both countries, Saigontel representatives introduced a low-carbon industrial park model aligned with sustainable economic development goals. This initiative contributes to environmental protection, aligning with Vietnam's commitment to net-zero emissions at the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26). This effort aims to promote Long An province forward in attracting high-tech investments. The Chairman of Saigontel, Mr. Dang Thanh Tam expressed gratitude to Mr. Lee Myung Bak, Mr. Truong Tan Sang, and Korean businesses for their contributions to Vietnam and particularly Long An province over the years.

After visiting the Tan Tap and Nam Tan Tap industrial park models, Mr. Lee xpressed his impres and shared with Vietnam, Long An province, and Korean enterprises about the right path that Vietnam was taking, which would make it a exemplary and proud nation worldwide. Korean businesses are keenly interested in Vietnam, with many already investing and planning to expand further. He highly praised Long An province and shared this sentiment with Korean investors, believing that the province's development plans will succeed, and he hopes the province continues to support Korean businesses, bringing mutual benefits.

The event, attended by businesses from Korea and Vietnam, as well as former leaders of both countries and the provincial Party Secretary, saw sincere and open exchanges about the positive sentiments and strong relations between the two nations, as well as the attractive infrastructure conditions of Long An province.
