On April 2^nd, at the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc welcomed Korean Ambassador Park No Wan, the Korea Chamber of Business in Vietnam and 5 leading Korean high-tech corporations to Vietnam for looking opportunities to increase investment in Vietnam in the near future. Accordingly, leading Korean corporations committed to invest 10 billion USD in Vietnam.

On Vietnamese side, there was the attendance of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and representatives of ministries - departments - branches. On Korean delegation side, there was the attendance of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam - Mr. Park Noh Wan as the head of the delegation; President of the Association of Koreans in Vietnam - Mr. Yoon Sang Ho; Head coach of the Vietnam national football team - Mr. Park Hang Seo; Chairman of KORCHAM Vietnam and leaders of typical Korean investment groups in Vietnam, including: Samsung; Daewoo; SK; Lotte; Hanwha. In which, SAIGONTEL is honored to be the only Vietnamese enterprise participating in the program, playing an important role in connecting the work program.

Speaking at the meeting, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc expressed his pleasure to meet the Ambassador, typical Korean associations, corporations and Enterprises in Vietnam. The Vietnamese government is very pleased that many Korean corporations and enterprises are investing and doing business effectively in Vietnam. The Prime Minister believed that the Vietnam-Korea relations are increasingly close and that the Vietnamese Government will continue to support and create favorable conditions for Korean investors. The Prime Minister also affirmed special attention to investment attraction activities, especially investment of high-tech corporations into Vietnam.

Ambassador Mr. Park No Wan expressed thanks to the Prime Minister for warmly welcoming; and transferred the greetings from the President of the Republic of Korea to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc. The Ambassador emphasized that, in the context of the COVID-19 epidemic, Korea especially appreciates Vietnam for successfully controlling the epidemic and successfully realizing the dual goals. Korean enterprises investing in Vietnam are also very happy when Vietnam maintains a positive growth rate in the context of the COVID-19 epidemic spreading around the world.

The Ambassador emphasized that next year, on the occasion of the two countries' 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations, Korea wishes to organize high-level delegation exchanges, promoting Vietnam-Korea relations to a higher level. Korea wants the Vietnamese Government to create favorable conditions to organize flights to bring Korean enterprises into Vietnam to promote business cooperation. Korean corporations’ Representatives also expressed their gratitude to the Vietnamese Government for always caring, supporting and creating favorable conditions for business activities; At the same time, he pledged to continue to increase investment by 10 billion USD in Vietnam and wished to continue receiving the support of the Government of Vietnam in the above investment expansion process.

Thanks to the opinions of the Korean Ambassador and Korean Enterprises, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc expressed his wishes that Korean corporations will be successful in Vietnam; and hoped that Korean Ambassador introduce more Korean high-tech enterprises and corporations to Vietnam for business cooperation.
