On March 10^th , 2021, the People's Committee of Long An province solemnly organized a program to work with KOICA to promote the investment environment and introduce a number of key projects in the province with the theme "Long An - a friendly and efficient investment destination”.

The program was led by Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc - Provincial Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of Long An People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Van Ut - Provincial Party Committee Deputy Secretary, Chairman of Long An People's Committee and representatives of leaders of the Departments, Boards and branches of the province such as: Department of Planning and Investment; Department of Resources and Environment; Department of Industry and Trade; Department of construction; Department of Transportation; Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and Provincial Economic Zone Management Board.

On the side of the KOICA delegation, there was the leadership of Mr. Cho Han Deog – Director of KOICA office in Vietnam; Mr. Yoon Sang Ho - President of the Korean Association in Vietnam, Chairman of Korea - Vietnam investment promotion and consulting unit SMBL; Mr. Kang Sang Hyun - General Director of Hanwa Aero Engine Company and representatives of member units of the Group.

According to the schedule, leaders’ representatives of Long An province organized a survey program and brought the delegation to visit and work at a number of typical projects in the province. At the same time, they organized a discussion with the title "Long An - a friendly and efficient investment destination" to promote the investment environment, development strategy of Long An in the future as well as policies to attract investment of socio-economic development of the province.

At the meeting, Mr. Cho Han Deog, director of the KOICA office in Vietnam expressed his impression of the economic development in the fields of industry, port logistics of Long An and at the same time expressed respect to local leaders for creating conditions for the delegation to have more documents about the locality. KOICA is an international cooperation agency under the Korean government, with the task of supporting socio-economic development for developing and underdeveloped countries, including Vietnam, through non-refundable aid programs and programs of exchanges, cooperation and investment promotion for localities. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Cho believes that, KOICA will have more data to complete consulting work, connect local authorities to best support Korean investors in Vietnam in general and in Long An in particular after this survey, contributing to create jobs, improve the workers’ life quality and promoting Long An to further breakthroughs in the near future.
